NCUA’s Temporary Corporate CU Share Guarantee Program has been extended to December 31, 2012. New investments in MCCU with maturities of two years or less will be fully covered – in addition to existing deposits that may already be covered.

Capitalization Effort Successful

Missouri Corporate recently completed a very successful capitalization drive that enables the institution to exceed the new NCUA capital requirements effective October 20, 2011. In fact, the capitalization effort was so successful a portion of the “excess” capital raised in the offering will be returned to members. A minimum goal of $17.5 million was set for the initial offering, but $22.5 million was committed – 29% above the goal. Credit unions in Missouri, Illinois, Oklahoma and North Dakota all contributed capital to Missouri Corporate.
